* Phantasms can be easily killed with Purification. * Purification's pure damage makes it hard for Bloodseeker to pursue enemies, and prevents him from replenishing his health by finishing off enemies. * Guardian Angel's near invulnerability denies Bloodseeker the bonuses from Thirst, preventing him from gaining the upper hand in teamfights. * Axe also enjoys getting close to allied heroes in order to damage them with his Counter Helix, which can easily be punished by Purification. However, it can still go through all his buffs. * Omniknight's healing prevents allies from dropping low enough for Culling Blade. * Tinker's heavy magical damage will burst down Bloodseeker during the early to mid game, as he has little health.
* Tinker always buys Boots of Travel, helping him escape Bloodseeker's early ganks. * Laser blinds Bloodseeker, preventing him from getting last hits and denies during the laning stage and preventing him from finishing off enemies. * Tinker is a natural Boots of Travel carrier and Rearm guarantees him escape from Rupture. * Laser can be very effective against Bloodrage as the damage will be amplified while the blind prevents Bloodseeker from landing hits. * Heroes with high armor like Dragon Knight, or with abilities to cause attacks to miss like Phantom Assassin, Riki and Tinker will be hard to deal with, as Clinkz relies almost entirely on physical attacks. * Tinker's Aghanim's Scepter upgraded Laser can blind him and all of his Phantasm illusions. This gives Tinker impunity to create more chaos in a teamfight than Chaos Knight can control, laying down the field with March of the Machines and constantly being hit by rockets and lasers. * Tinker rarely finds himself in the middle of a fight, which is where Chaos Knight typically thrives, and even in the rare cases of being so, at level 3 Tinker's constant rearm and blink away can kite and dodge Chaos Knight's spells reliably, so Chaos Knight has very little catch against Tinker's mobility. * With Aghanim's Scepter, Tinker's Laser completely stops Chaos Knight's damage, forcing him to buy either a Black King Bar for his own survivability while leaving his illusions still vulnerable, or a Monkey King Bar leaving him still vulnerable to Tinker's nukes, though improving his damage. * Spectre can simply use Spectral Dagger to escape against an Axe gank. * Dispersion makes Spectre very durable, making it much less likely for Axe to bring her low enough for Culling Blade. * Ancient Apparition also has no hard disables and escape spells, making him an easy kill for Spectre.

* As Ancient Apparition likes to stay far away from the fight to get full effectiveness from Ice Blast, he is a very good target for a Haunt gank. * Desolate's damage will melt him quickly, as he's alone most of the time. * Spectre can instantly reach a ratting Clinkz with Haunt. * Spectre can catch Clinkz with Spectral Dagger, even if he uses Skeleton Walk. * Dispersion makes Spectre tanky and also reflects some damage back to Clinkz. * Desolate allows Spectre to hit Clinkz through Skeleton Walk. * Spectre can catch up to him with Spectral Dagger, even if he uses Skeleton Walk. * Spectre can instantly escape Burning Army or hunt Clinkz with Haunt. * Ranged heroes that can easily harass Axe: Drow Ranger, Sniper, Lion. * Finger of Death quickly kills Clinkz due to his low health. * Hex and Earth Spike can hold Clinkz down, giving him no chance to use Black King Bar or Skeleton Walk. * Finger of Death can instantly shred many targets especially fragile Heroes like Keeper of the Light, Ancient Apparition, or Bounty Hunter. Provided that he does not get stunned by Chaos Bolt first, Lion can render Phantasm near-useless. * Lion has two abilities that can instantly kill illusions. * Aghanim's Scepter upgraded Finger of Death is an AoE ability, which can deal a tremendous amount of damage to his illusions. * Mana Drain is a real problem to Chaos Knight in the early game, considering his already low mana pool. Finger of Death upgraded with Aghanim's Scepter also shreds most illusions. * Mana Drain and Hex instantly kill any illusions. This can make things difficult for heroes like Phantom Lancer, Chaos Knight, and Terrorblade who rely on illusion armies. * One of Lion's level 20 talents lets Mana Drain affect 2 secondary targets.
